ZAMBOANGA CITY, 28 Feb. (PIA 9) - - A space inside the City Tourism Office at the Sunken Garden is being “cleared” as this will be used for the establishment of a Control Center for the Close Circuit Television (CCTV), said City Administrator Antonio Orendain, Jr.
Monitoring TV will be placed inside the control room to be manned by trained personnel, Orendain shared
The P20 million CCTV project will be installed in various strategic areas of the city to include in different main roads, city hall, Plaza del Pilar and Paseo del Mar.
However, CCTVs installed in the police office and jail facilities will have their separate control room in their respective offices Orendain said.
According to him, CCTV will also be placed at San Roque, Canelar Moret, Sta Cruz, Governor Alvarez and Nuñez extension.
The installation of cameras in the identified locations is expected to be completed within 6 months upon its first day of installation. (JPA/PIA- ZBST)
