DIPOLOG CITY, NOV. 8(PIA) -- The Department of Interior and Local Government(DILG) has appointed Lerma Mabilog Campaner as the new City Local Government Operations Officer of Dipolog City, effective November 3, 2011.
Campaner, who once worked in the same Office from 1975 to 1985, replaces former Dipolog City LGOO Wenifreda Villanos who was transferred to Dapitan City.
Prior to her new assignment, Campaner has served as Municipal Local Government Operations Officer of Labason for ten (10)years.
Under her stewardship, Labason has been adjudged as the Regional Child-Friendly Municipality from 2006 to 2008. Labason has also received other major awards such as Most Outstanding Municipality and Most Outstanding Legislative Body in the whole region 9.
With the cooperation and support from the City Government of Dipolog under the leadership of Mayor Evelyn T. Uy, Campaner is optimistic to duplicate if not surpass her accomplishments in her previous area of assignment.
Among the initial plan of the new CLGOO is to expand the membership of the City Council for the Protection of Children to include the barangays in the remote area where assistance are most needed.
Campaner also plan to sit down with the City Officials to discuss other issues and concerns that needs particular attention from the City DILG Office. (JPA/ATR/PIA9-Zambo Norte)
