IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay – TwoNegosyo Centers of the
Department of Trade and Industry weresuccessfully launched recently in the
province.

Al-Zamir I. Lipae, DTI provincial director said the negosyo centers were
established in Imelda at the ABC building, andBuugNegosyo Center at the main
building of the public market.
Republic
Act 10644 or the “Go Negosyo Act” seeks to strengthen micro, small and medium
enterprises (MSMEs) to create more job opportunities in the country.
“DTI has
been given the key responsibility and challenge of establishing negosyo centers
in all provinces, cities, and municipalities nationwide,” said DTI Regional
DirectorSitti Amina M. Jain, in abrief message to the local folks.
“I extend
my sincere words of thanks to all of you for the untiring support to our programs,” expressed Engr. Al-Zamir I.

Catimbang explained that the “Negosyo Center” is a one-stop-shop for services
that cater to the entrepreneurs’ needs in processing requirements necessary to
establish a business; and in accessing information essential for their growth.
It has
three salient features: first, it offers Business Advisory that provides MSMEs
advisory services tailored according to their needs through one-on-one
consultation, focus group discussion and coaching/mentoring.
Second, Business
Registration Assistance which facilitates processing and documentation of paper
requirements for the establishment of micro, small and medium enterprises.
And third, Business
Information and Advocacy which is about conducting trainings, seminars and
dialogues to increase MSMEs’ productivity and efficiency.
With the launching of the negosyo centers comes the responsibility of Buug Mayor JonamLagas and Imelda Mayor Roselyn Silva, to keep up with the shared obligations and efforts to boost more economic activities and business ventures in their locality.
