AURORA, Zamboanga del Sur – At least 670
residents of barangay Sapa Loboc benefited from the medical and dental outreach
program conducted recently by the Zamboanga del Sur Electric Cooperative, Inc.
(ZAMSURECO-1).
ZAMSURECO-I
General Manager and chief executive officer Jose Raul A. Saniel said the medical
and dental outreach program is an annual activity of the
electric cooperative as part of their corporate social responsibility. This
worthy endeavor directly serves the constituents especially the marginalized
sector living in remote villages who need compassion.
Saniel said a team of eight (8) medical doctors who
partnered with the electric coop’s medical and dental outreach program provided
free medical check-up and medicines to 342 local folks, 48 availed free dental
services, while 280 school children benefited from the feeding program.
Saniel said the barangay was chosen as the venue
for this year’s activity because residents here have limited access to quality
and dental mission is not the answer to our illnesses but this is just a simple
relief of whatever weakness we feel in our body. At the same time, this is also
a way of pay back to our member-consumers for their strong support to
ZAMSURECO-I),”Saniel stressed.
Barangay councilor Vianey Tariman thanked
ZAMSURECO-I for conducting the activity in their barangay saying that they have
no money to buy medicines.
