BSP-Sibugay pays tribute to Supt. Torralba

IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay - The Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP)-Zamboanga Sibugay Council recently paid tribute to Dr. Amelia P. Torralba, schools division superintendent of the Zamboanga Sibugay Schools Division, who retired from government service effective Jan. 27, 2015 at Casa Mea Hotel and Restaurant here.

“It is fitting to pay tribute to the woman behind the success of every scouting activity in the province. We are grateful to Dr. Torralba for her all-out support to the scouting movement,” Ms. Lucille P. Santos, Council Scout Executive said in an interview.

Santos said alongside the tribute was the Woodbadge Holders’ Reunion replete with a sumptuous dinner hosted by Vice Governor Rey Andre C. Olegario.

Likewise, the vice governor lauded Superintendent Torralba for her integrity and unblemished image in her five years of service at the Zamboanga Sibugay schools division, gaining respect from her peers and colleagues for practicing transparency in her work. “Dr. Torralba abides by the principle of transparency,” Olegario said.

The affair was attended by the BSP Local Council Executive Board, Dr. Oliver B. Talaoc, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, DepEd officials, board members Editha O. Calonge and Leslie Joy V. Jore, and representatives of board members Mujahid C. Jajurie, Joel B. Ebol and Jonathan C. Yambao.
