Zambo. Norte provincial board reports 2014 peformance

DIPOLOG CITY - The people of Zamboanga del Norte got their money’s worth as members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial board) they had elected are religiously performing their roles as expected, declared Vice Governor Senen O. Angeles in last Sunday’s Kapihan sa Dipolog radio program at Camila Hotel I here.

Angeles said “since our assumption to office on June 30, 2013, the board members have actively participated in the discussion of various resolutions and ordinances submitted for deliberation and review by the different city/municipal councils.”

“No board member has missed the sessions without valid reason. No one was reported late during sessions and there was no grandstanding during deliberations,” Angeles pointed out.

In her report, Assistant SP Secretary Filmie V. Beluan disclosed that the provincial board has crafted/passed 615 resolutions, 11 Appropriation Ordinances and 2 provincial ordinances in 2014.

The two ordinances crafted by the provincial -oard pertain to the setting of the prices for the agricultural products in the province and services extended by the Provincial Agriculture and Veterinary Office, as well as the amendment of the small-scale mining ordinance.

Aside from Angeles, the provincial board is composed of Presiding Officer Pro-Tempore Julius C. Napigquit, Majority Floor Leader Crisologo A. Decierdo, Assistant Majority Floor Leader Ronillo D. Lee, Minority Floor Leader Fernando R. Cabigon Jr., and board members Joven H. Zamora, Ruth M. Brillantes, Luzviminda E. Torino, Venus A. Uy Angel M. Carloto, and SP Secretary Lorendo E. Legados.
