IPIL, ZamboangaSibugay - The Department of Social Welfare and
Development (DSWD) celebrated last Jan. 9 its 64th anniversary with
the theme “TuloyangPagbabago at Pag-unlad.”
In response to a memorandum issued recently
by DSWD-9 Regional Director Zenaida L Arevalo, a motorcade around the
municipality was held at 8 a.m., followed by a thanksgiving mass.
SWADT Leader Jasmin A. Albelda, on the
other hand,said DSWD’s teambuilding activity through sports and parlor games
would be conducted with a “boodle fight” at lunchtime.
Highlighting the activity were the Search
for Mr. & Ms. SWADT Ipil and Videoke Singing Competition, showcasing the
talents of DSWD personnel including the Pantawid staff, KC-NCDDP, Social
Welfare and Development Team (SWADT) and Livelihood Sustainable Program (LSP) employees.
According to Albelda, the DSWD is dedicated
to continue the delivery of its various services and programs to help the poor,
vulnerable and disadvantaged sectors of the society improve their quality of
life.
She reminded the DSWD employees to maintain
their dedication and commitment to work with integrity in line with the
department’s vision, mission and goals.
