MALANGAS, Zamboanga Sibugay – As part of 18th National Awareness Week for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, the Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel of Malangas Municipal Police Station (MPS) conducted an information drive to students of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) Malangas campus last week.

The information drive covered a series of lectures on Drugs, Anti Child Pornography Voyeurism, Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC), Crime Prevention, Rape and an earthquake drill.

Participating in the activity were first year to third year criminology students, first year and second year computer science students, and first and second year education students.

In a text message sent to the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Administrator Christine V. Yambao of WMSU-Malangas expressed her gratitude for the PNP personnel of Malangas MPS for holding such an activity in her school.

“We laud the Malangas police for their enthusiasm to spread useful information on relevant social issues affecting the youth particularly our college students.”

“May the PNP continue to be our active partner in molding more socially aware and involved young Malanguenos,” she concluded. (PIA9)
