“Kapihan sa Sibugay” kicks off

IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay – Governor Wilter Y. Palma met Tuesday with the print and broadcast media practitioners here at the Office of the Governor in the Provincial Capitol for the first  ever “Kapihan sa Sibugay.”

“Kapihan sa Sibugay,” an open discussion between the provincial governor and the press, tackled current and relevant issues such as the proposed projects of the local government unit for 2014 and the upcoming Araw ng Sibugay celebration which runs from February 20-26, 2014.

Highlighting the activity will be the selection of Ms. Sibugay to be participated in by the province’s 16 municipalities.

Other activities include the Rubber Summit, Job Fair, medical and dental mission and the distribution of 361 land titles by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

Governor Palma appealed to the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to set aside politics and work together for the good and welfare of their constituents.

Zamboanga Sibugay is a new province carved out of Zamboanga del Sur in 2001. (PIA9)
