DIPOLOG CITY - The Philippine Society of Young Science Clubs (PSYSC) in partnership
with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-IX will hold a National
Science Clubs Summit here on September 7-8, 2013 at the Dipolog Medical Center
Science High School.
All science club members
are invited to join in this activity in celebration of the National Science
Club Month (NSCM) with the theme, “NATUREADY: Unravel the causes. Build the
Solution. Empower science clubbers to action.”
The activity is geared
towards the promotion of public understanding of science, technology and the
environment. It also seeks to raise awareness among the youth about natural
disasters, their causes and ways to mitigate them.
The PSYSC Science Olympiad
(PSO), which is a national interschool quiz competition for elementary and high
school students, will also be held and the national elimination for Region IX will
be held on Sept. 7.
On the same date and
venue, I-Tech Science Seminar (ITSS) will be held for science teachers to
enrich their knowledge and skills in making science interesting, interactive
and enjoyable among students.
