DepEd turns-over two-classroom school building to Bayog town

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur – The Department of Education Regional Office IX (DepED-9) through the Physical Facility Division Supervisor Dr. Duton Casla turned-over early this month a two-classroom school building to this municipality.
The P1.04-million school building was constructed at Pulangbato Elementary School.

Mayor Leonardo L. Babasa Jr. has expressed his heartfelt thanks to the DepED for the said school building, saying it would really be a great help to accommodate the increasing number of enrollees in the area.

He also urged the parents to cooperate with the teachers believing that the parents play an important role in educating the children.

“Our task is to provide for primary education which is one of the Millenium Development Goals (MDG) with the parents, teachers, the municipality and the barangay,” Babasa said.

“Let us help one another in this noble cause, for the future of these children is anchored on good education,” Babasa added.

Mayor Babasa accepted the building in behalf of the municipality.

The turnover of said project was witnessed by Mr. Perlito Labisto, the head teacher, the teaching staff, Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members, Vice Mayor-elect Celso Matias, SB member-elect Ronilo Yamaro, barangay officials headed by Barangay Chairman Felisa  Antonio, Bayog Central Elementary School Principal Dr. Minda Castillo, Engr. Marlon Tejano, Engr. Jocile Codilla, the contractor,  pupils and parents.


The ceremonies ended with the words of thanks from Mr. Randy Yamyamin, PTA Vice President. (PIA9)
