By Franklin P. Gumapon

DIPOLOG CITY – For the second time this year President Benigno S. Aquino III will be here tomorrow to lead the groundbreaking of a P385-million road project at Barangay Cogon this city.

Funded by national government through the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the road project is said to connect the Cogon Eco-Tourism Park to Barangay Diwan where the alluring Sungkilaw Falls is located.

Right after the groundbreaking ceremonies, the President is slated to meet with the local candidates of the Liberal Party (LP) at the Dipolog Sports Complex in Barangay Olingan before proceeding to the cities of Dumaguete and Cebu.

As President, PNoy first visited Dipolog on Feb. 5, 2013 upon invitation of the President of Andres Bonifacio College to serve as guest of honor and speaker during the inauguration of the college’s Graduate and Professional Schools Building.

In a related development, President Aquino has allotted some P200 million for the construction of Corazon C. Aquino Memorial Hospital here in the city. This health facility, which is now almost complete, aims to improve the delivery of health services to the people in the area.

Military and police top brass in the region will meet the President upon his arrival at the Dipolog airport tomorrow morning. (PIA9)
