President
Aquino gave this assurance on Tuesday before the officials, faculty and
students of Andres Bonifacio College during the inauguration of the Graduate
and Professional School (GPS) building of the Andres Bonifacio College this
city.
One
the infrastructure projects to be given priority by the Aquino administration
is the upgrading of the Dipolog City Airport which is expected to be completed
by 2016.
“Kaya
naman hindi tayo nakalimot sa ating ipinangako. Gaya ng nabanggit ko na noong
nakaraang SONA(State of the Nation Address), kasado na ang pagpapaunlad natin
pagpapagawa nito ngayong taon,” President Aquino said.
The
upgrading of the Dipolog Airport is expected to boost the tourism industry in
Dipolog City and the whole province of Zamboanga del Norte.
“Sa
tourism po, minana natin three million tourists a year. Last year po, dapat
Hilaga Hilagang Kanluran natin, pinagbabawalan yung mamamayan nilang 4.3
said.
Bukod
2012. Nandiyan din ang Zamboanga del Sur-Zamboanga del Norte Boundary Road-
Sibuco Road na target nating matapos ngayong taon,” he added.
Apart
from infrastructure, the President also vowed to give priority to the
development of the Filipino people through the Conditional Cash Transfer
Program which benefited more or less 84,520 poor people in the province.
President
Aquino also vowed to provide electricity to the far-flung barangays and sitios
in Zamboanga del Norte. (FPG/ATR/PIA9-Zamboanga
