NFA urges grains traders to get NFA license

DIPOLOG CITY, JAN. 22(PIA)--- The National Food Authority (NFA) in Zamboanga del Norte urges all grains businessmen to renew their business licenses on time to avoid sanctions from the government as well those in similar venture to register their grains businesses with the NFA.



NFA Provincial Manager Julakmad J. Lawama said the grains traders who fail to renew their NFA business licenses will be fined a 25% surcharge of the total cost and another 25% for every month thereafter.



The local NFA has set the following schedules for renewal of licenses starting January to June as follows: January for Dipolog City and Polanco; February-Dapitan City, Rizal, Sibutad and La Libertad; March-Sergio Osmeña, Piñan, Mutia, Katipunan and Roxas; April-Jose Dalman, Siayan, Sindangan and Manukan; May-Salug, Kuwait, Tampilisan and Godod; and June in Liloy, Siocon, Sirawai, Baliguian, Sibuco, Labason, Gutalac, and Leon Postigo



Lawama also reminded the grains business traders to bring along two pieces of 2 x 2 ID picture and their business permits issued by concerned local government units (LGUs) upon the renewal of their business registrations with the NFA. (FPG/ATR/PIA-Zamboanga del Norte)
