DOE, DTI to conduct energy forum

PAGADIAN CITY, 04 Dec (PIA) – The Department of Energy (DOE) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Office is set to conduct an Energy Forum on December 5, 2012 at Hotel Guillermo, this city.

DOE- Mindanao Field Office Director Manuel M. Llaneza said, the activity is primarily aimed at enhancing the level of awareness of the participants on the pertinent government rules and regulations, safety and standards and energy conservation and safety tips, including other issues and concerns that are currently confronting the energy industry.

Topics to be discussed during the forum are as follows: The Overview of the Downstream Oil Industry, LPP Retail Rules and Consumers Tips, LPG Cylinder Standards, LPG Industry Regulatory Framework, LPG Safety and Consumer Tips, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Tips and Renewable Energy Technologies.

Expected to attend this forum are dealers of liquified petroleum gas and petroleum, local government units, academe, barangay chairmen, consumers, non-government organizations and media practitioners. (JPA/CAL/PIA9)
