Zamboanga City, November 7 - - The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Regional Welfare Office No. 9 is set to conduct a Capability Building Seminar-Workshop for OFW Leaders and Institutional Partners to be held on November 8 & 9, 2012 at Max’s Restaurant, this city.
Zamboanga City, November 7 - - The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Regional Welfare Office No. 9 is set to conduct a Capability Building Seminar-Workshop for OFW Leaders and Institutional Partners to be held on November 8 & 9, 2012 at Max’s Restaurant, this city.
Seventy
(70) OFWs & dependents who will attend the said seminar-workshop are from
Isabela City and Zamboanga city.
Regional
Director Hassan Gabra Jumdain said that the seminar-workshop aims to promote
the delivery of responsive, productive and sustainable reintegration service to
OFW returnees to enable them to maximize the gains of overseas employment.
“It is
also our aim to build a core group who will serve as OWWA’s partners in
assisting us for effective delivery of our services all throughout the region.”
Jumdain said.
Mr. Noel
Tarrazona, Chief Trainer of the Network of Optimal Trainers to Accelerate
Community Reforms (NOTACOR) will share valuable insights on how to attain
strong foundation to achieve financial success.
Topics
like Leadership, Conflict Resolution, and Entrepreneurship & Franchising
will be discussed through lecture, audio-visual presentation and role play.
The said
activity will serve as a venue for information exchanges, strengthening of
network and fostering positive communication.
Furthermore,
Director Jumdain disclosed that there will be an election of new set of
officers for the Federation of OFW Family Circles Inc. which was organized in
the year 2008.
The
seminar is in line with President Aquino’s directive, “Paigtingin ang Serbisyo para sa OFWs”, and to intensify campaign
on various programs and services of the government to the countryside. (OWWA9
