DDB conducts survey in Bayog

Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur, 23 Nov (PIA) – The Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) in collaboration with the Philippine Normal University Research Center and concerned agencies in the different cities, municipalities and barangays in the Philippines is now conducting the 2012 Nationwide Survey on the Current Nature and Extent of Drug Abuse.

With this development, some personnel of DDB composed of Corazon Mamigo, Gina Pecson and Marrianne Belga arrived in Bayog for the said activity. Prior to the survey, a briefing with selected local enumerators was conducted at the  Mayor’s office last Tuesday, November 20, 2012.

During the briefing, Mamigo emphasized that samplings were randomly selected where respondents must come from the two most populated barangays in rural and urban barangays of a province, municipality or city.
She said among the municipalities in Zamboanga del Sur, Bayog and Lakewood were randomly selected for the conduct of said survey.

The two most populated barangays in Bayog are Poblacion and Kahayagan.

Immediately after the briefing, the enumerators started their task. Only 42 respondents were required in every barangay, after which, DDB personnel will do the consolidation of the survey results. (ALT/BAG/CAL/PIA9).
