BAYOG,
ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, Oct 22 (PIA) – The Zamboanga del Sur
Electric Cooperative (ZAMSURECO II) formally energized on Thursday, October 18,
2012 four more barangays of Bayog, this province.
It was a dream come true
for the barangay folks of Matin-ao, Balukbahan, Sigacad and Deporehan to
finally see the “light” after long years of darkness.
The energization of these
hard-to-reached barangays was made possible through the congressional funds of
2nd District Representative Hon. Aurora Cerilles.
The switch-on ceremony was
attended by Congresswoman Cerilles, Mayor Leonardo Babasa, Jr., Hon. Celso Matias
with Neva Jean Gorra, barangay officials and local residents, together with
Engr. Renie Helar, ZAMSURECO II Power-Use Supervisor.
On the other hand, after the
ceremony, Cerilles distributed school supplies, slippers and vitamins to the
day care and elementary pupils, as well as to secondary students of the
recipient barangays to include also barangays
Bobuan and Canoayan.
To date, out of the 28
barangays of the municipality only barangay Dagum remains unenergized. (JPA/BAG/CAL/PIA9)
