DIPOLOG CITY, MAY
7(PIA)---A total of
199 members of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from Barangay Sicayab,
Dipolog City have graduated from a Parent Effective Service Training conducted at
the said barangay recently.
The
said activity was jointly undertaken by the City Social Welfare and Development
Office IV of Dipolog City in coordination with the DSWD Regional Office.
In
press statement released by the City Information Office, it was learned that
the PES training, held at Sicayab Elementary School Covered Court last April 30
and was participated in by 4Ps members from the ten (10) Purok of Sicayab.
According
to the CSWDO, the primary purpose for the conduct of the said training is to
enable the member-beneficiaries of 4Ps to realize the importance of proper parenting
to make their siblings responsible members of the society.
Aside
from the 4Ps beneficiaries, other personalities who attended the training included
Dipolog City Councilor Jonald Napigquit, Sicayab Barangay Chairman Julius
Gajonera, CSWD District IV In-Charge Mercedes Clamohoy, CSWD Officer Nelson
Ladera, and 4Ps City Link Ms. Jackie Fiel.
Among
the topics discussed during the training included Challenging Parenting; Health;
Stress Management; and Waste Management as among the responsibilities of the parents
