PRC to set up first aid stations in Catholic churches for the Holy Week

PAGADIAN CITY, April 5 (PIA) – The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) this Holy Week will set up first aid stations in Catholic churches in this city. 

PRC Zamboanga del Sur chapter administrator Hildaliza F. Muñoz in an interview said the stations will be manned by five (5) medical teams and PRC volunteers who will monitor several hundreds of people who are attending the historic days in the Catholic church specially in the conduct of “Siete Palabras” or the “Seven Last Words” and Easter Sunday Mass. 

“The teams will provide assistance to the church goers specially in monitoring blood pressure, and those who will get collapse due to exposure of excessive heat, etc,” Munoz said. 

“Similar assistance will be extended to incoming and outgoing passengers at the IBT,” Muñoz added. 

The said first aid station will set up near the following churches: Sto. Niño Cathedral, San Jose, San Pedro, and Fatima in Balangasan, and another will be at the Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT) here.(JPA/GCC/PIA9-Zambosur)
