DIPOLOG CITY, March 28 (PIA) - - A newly completed covered court worth P1.5 million has been turned-over on Saturday to the Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office (ZNPPO) led by P/SSupt. Ulpiano Collado Lopez.
Built right inside the compound of the Police Public Safety Company at Barangay Sicayab of this city, the covered court will serve as venue for gatherings, sports activities and other similar undertakings to be conducted by the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Speaking during the turnover ceremony, Provincial Director Lopez expressed his gratitude to Zamboanga del Norte second district representative Rosendo S. Labadlabad for allotting out of his Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) P1.5 million for the construction of a covered court. “Such a facility is of great help to the police in carrying out their respective tasks and duties,” he said.
Attending the project turnover were PNP-IX regional director Atty. Napoleon Estilles, Dipolog chief of police Joven Parcon, Police Public Safety Company Commander P/Supt. Jalilul Bandahala, Barangay Captain Julius Gajonera, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) district engineer Leoncio Solamillo, Dipolog Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) president Atty. Paul Gudmalin, Mayor Evelyn T. Uy, a group of media men and other civic and religious leaders.
Provincial Director Lopez also expressed his thanks to Mayor Uy for extending help in the repair/rehabilitation of the PNP barracks which cost the city government almost P500 thousand. (FPG/PIA-Zamboanga del Norte)
