RBAC facilitates the opening of bids for 2012 cadastral survey program

Pagadian City, Mar 6 (PIA) –  The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-9) Regional Bids and Awards Committee (RBAC) convened on Monday, March 5, 2012  to facilitate the opening of bids for the Cadastral Survey Program for 2012, at the DENR-IX conference hall, this city.

Thirty nine (39) towns in the region has been lined-up by the Land Management Services (LMS) of the DENR for its cadastral survey program for this year. The program is being financed by the World Bank.

During the official opening of bids only 15 bidders/contractors submitted their technical and financial proposals as required for the bidding process, covering only 20 of the 39 municipalities slated for cadastral survey program for this year.

The RBAC is composed of the following: Moises Butic, chairman Bids and Awards Committee; Gil Ona, vice chairman; Banjamin Rubia, chief Administrative Division, Edgardo Montojo, chief Planning and Management Division; Luisito Lledo, chief Finance Division; Atty. Ruben Dongallo, chief, Legal Division and Philidor Lluisoma as members with Regional Executive Director Arleigh Adorable as the over-all chairman.

The activity was also attended by the Technical Working Group (TWG) headed by its chairman Engr. Ramon Ascaraga, Jr.; Engr. Rubi Guldam; Engr. Celso Espinosa and Julius Vela as  members.

Also present  are the members of  BAC Secretariat headed by Pernalyn Palma, Engr. Lorenza Panes, Engr. Diosdado de Guzman and support staff. Representatives from Land Management Bureau (LMB), Manila; Commission on Audit (COA) and the tri-media acted as observers together with some bidders and contractors.

Earlier, RED Adorable disclosed that some of the benefits that may result upon completion of cadastral survey in a particular area include agricultural development, realization of the Municipal Land Use Plan (MULP), more accurate tax mapping and may resolve or minimize boundary conflicts. (PIA9/CAL)
