OWWA-ARMM urges OFWs and Dependents to Avail Technical/Vocational Scholarship

March 26 - - -The Regional Welfare Office-ARMM of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) invites student-dependents of OFWs based in the region to apply for Skills for Employment Scholarship Program (SESP) for school year 2012.

Immediate dependents of active OWWA members will have more opportunities to educational assistance with the Skills-for-Employment Scholarship Program.

SESP is a program geared towards the development of highly skilled and employable workers through career enhancing technical and vocational courses for their over-all economic gain. This provides a maximum assistance of P14,500 per course leading to the completion of a vocational or technical courses in any school accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

An unmarried brother or sister aged 21 and below of unmarried OFWs and spouse or child below 21 years of age of married OFW can apply for this scholarship.

Scholars can choose from different tech/voc courses offered by OWWA partner schools within the region.
