DIPOLOG CITY, March 6 (PIA) – Athletic delegations from all over Zamboanga Peninsula will converge in Dapitan City for this year’s Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) meet starting March 11-17.
This was the announcement made by the regional office of the Department of Education (DepED)-IX headed by Dr. Walter O. Albos.
The participating schools divisions are coming from Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Dapitan City, Dipolog City, Pagadian City Isabela City and Zamboanga City.
It can be recalled that Dapitan City hosted the Palarong Pambansa 2011 which was participated in by all the 17 regions in the country. The National Capital Region (NCR) emerged as the over-all champion in that national athletic competition.
In a related development, the private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) also held its regional athletic competitions here in Dipolog City last Feb. 24-28 with the Zamboanga City athletic delegation as general champion. (FPG/PIA-Zamboanga del Norte)
