The amount, Asjali said is part of the P6.1-B millennium development fund brought by President Benigno Simeon Aquino from his recent working visit to United States of America to assist the Philippine government in implementing Millennium Development Goals (MDG) until 2015.

Asjali lauded the municipalities of V. Sagun and San Pablo, respectively for being the two (2) out of the 26 municipalities in the province who fully complied with the full disclosure policy implemented by the department.

The full disclosure policy, is the government’s policy which requires local officials of provinces, cities and municipalities to fully disclose their financial transactions to keep their constituents informed of how the LGU’s budget is managed, disbursed and used.

Asjali said the department also gave a local government support fund in the amount of P600-T to V. Sagun as one of the affected LGU’S who’s internal revenue allotment (IRA) for 2012 was reduced by 4.8%. “ The amount is part of the augmentation assistance given by the department to the LGU,” Asjali added.

The DILG chief challenged the municipal officials to sustain the award that they received from their department by continuously implementing governments full disclosure policy.

“I am expecting you to sustain your reward being the recipient of Seal of Good Housekeeping so that you will receive again another P1 million for your project,” Asjali challenged.

Meanwhile, mayor Edilberto Adlaon said he allocated P1 million from the coffers of the LGU as their counterpart to complete the P2 million needed for the implementation of the project.

Adlaon said the P600,000.00  will be used to purchase one (1) unit of an ambulance.

The chief executive expressed his elation on the national government welfare programs extended to their municipality saying that these will greatly help alleviate the poor living condition of the people.
