WESCOM joins medical, dental outreach to Roxas

ISABELA CITY, Basilan, Feb 21 (PIA) – Residents of barangay Magara, in Roxas, Palawan will benefit in the joint free medical and dental services offered by the Western Command (WESCOM) and the Palawan Provincial Government on February 22, 2012.

The outreach program will be made possible through the concerted effort and support of WESCOM, Camp General Artemio Ricarte Station Hospital (CGARSH), 570th Composite Tactical Wing (CTW), Naval Forces West (NAVFORWEST) and Marine Battalion Landing Team (MBLT-4) wherein each unit will provide their respective medical, dental, and corpsmen that will further augment the Palawan Provincial Health Office.

The 6th Civil Relations Group of the AFP reported that the program will have free medical consultations and check-ups, circumcisions, dental services and various programs of the different agencies and units of the provincial government of Palawan.

On the same occasion, film showings, dialogues and symposium will also be conducted by the 6th Civil Relations Group, Civil Relations Service Armed Forces of the Philippines to further explain to the civilian populace the value of united efforts (BAYANIHAN) in attaining a common goal of a greener and healthier peace and development in the locality.
  
Indeed, WESCOM and Lakbayan sa Palawan believe that “sustainable development begins and ends with the people.” The project aims to deliver government services to even the most far-flung villages of the province through tie-ups with different government agencies and private organizations and will always rely on the principle of Bayanihan, the concept of accomplishing a given task through the concerted efforts of everyone concerned.
